“Play it again Sam” – the BMW M3 meets its ancestors

Here is a very nice “nostalgic” piece (lets say video) form the British AUTOCAR channel which features the 1987 released, great in shape BMW M3 and the 2009 BMW M3. It is nice t see that somebody took really good care and kept this ‘87 model in tip-top shape.

This is VJ and I hope you enjoyed the trip into past like I did.

Good News during Bad Times – BMW is selling more M-Cars than ever

The BMW M3 were sold almost 18,000 times

The BMW M3 were sold almost 18,000 times

Despite the global downturn and the daily horrific news about the crumbling automotive industry, BMW should actually open up a bottle of champagne and celebrate.

Reason for the euphoria is the BMW’s M division could report an increase of 50% in 2008 in the year-on-year sales.

24,186 M models were sold worldwide last year, with the BMW M3 accounting for nearly 18,000 vehicles.

The BMW M5 accounted for 2,465 units sold

The M5 sold 2465 units, the M6 2260 and the Z4 M 1438 units.  It seems to be that the American just love the M-Series. With rank number 1, BMW sold more M models to the US than anywhere else.

Germany second, the United Kingdom gets the runner up osition 3.

A new exciting 2009 model year for the M-Sports Division of BMW is knocking on the door. With more diversification, BMW will launch the first Sports Activity Coupe X6 M-powered, powered with a twin-turbo V8.

Video Compilation of the BMW M series

When you appreciate the Motorsport series better known as the M-Series from BMW then you’d take a look at this very nice YouTube Video. I showed it to my collegeus at BMW of South Atlanta and they were thrilled. Enjoy…

How can you elevate your mood in less than 6 seconds?

She finally has arrived. Right on time to soak up the sun and be ready to make you, too a believer in changing your moodiness in less than 6 seconds.

What I am talking about is The 2009 BMW M3 convertible. With lowering the retractable hardtop of the

all-new M3 Convertible, you are ready to revel in the breeze as the passing by scenery becomes a blur.

The M3’s 414-hp V-8 redlines at 8400 rpm, launching this legally called “rocket-ship” from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. So much about your mood-accelerator. Massive high-performance-tuned ABS brakes will bring you to a stop with equal urgency. I hope you’d buckled up…

The racetrack-worthy handling comes as well easily to the M3. Endowed with a lithe body, lightweight suspension and near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution, it makes short of razor-sharp turns, and takes quick slaloms with almost world renowned Skier Bode Miller’s grace.

If you are counting yourself to the “serious performance driver guild” be sure to add the optional 7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic to your order, so you can execute lightning-fast shifts in the blink of an eye; optional M Drive with M Dynamic Mode, included in the optional Technology Package, lets tailor you the M3’s performance settings to your individual taste.

The interior itself is designed for comfortable control, especially during demanding performance maneuvers. To minimize driving response time, all instrumentation is ergonomically arrayed around the driver. Special M bolstered sport seats are swathed in Novillo leather treated with unique Sun-Reflective Technology – so the only thing that gets hot in the sun is the M3’s performance.

Go on, open up. Let the sun live in your shadow, not vice versa – in the 2008 M3 Convertible, available for your “mood-swing-test-drive” here at BMW of South Atlanta.
