2011 is the year for a BMW Z2 – that is what Munich says

BMW is planning for 2011 a Z2

With the start to develop and launch in 2011 a new Roadster class -the Z2, BMW wants to challenge its’ competition Mazda MX or the Audi TT.
The platform for the Z2 will be based on the Z4. For the European market the vehicle will be featuring a 4-cylinder engine with a maximal cc of 2.0 liter.  Further is a “beginner model” planned, which starts at 1.8 liter and approx 150 horsepower. For the non-European market is the 300 horsepower version feasible and may even the possibility of the M-version.
The Z2 will come with a soft-top, active steering and pricing should be around the 24,000 Euro mark. Possible market entry for the European market is 2011.

You guys have some good content, but you tend to forget to name the source with a link to them. Most of your articles were published first on bmwblog.com, so it’s nice to at least give them some credit.

I do not want to disappoint you but the stories I share are not retrieved from the BMWBLOG but most likely from German websites I visit (I am German native) and then translate into my own words (as good as possible). I even avoid posting a story I see at the BMWBlog first and not to appear like a copy cat. By the way, do you know that the US BMWBlog you are referring to copies all of it’s content from the German BMW blog BimmerToday? Every article what is released 6 hrs prior in Germany you’ll find later in the US blog with exact photos and the translation. When I saw something unique in the past I wanted to use I named the sources, so your statement is not completely valid. But still, no hard feeling please and thank you for sharing your comment and visiting my blog.

One more thing Chris. To see how valid my prior response was, please check out my latest post on the MINI and VW, which I had posted on 5/7/09 at 10.00am and the BMW blog came out today with the same message, one day later. Thought you might be interested in the fact.
Thank you,
VJ

VJ, I understand your point of view, but there were a few of articles and even though they weren’t all taken from them, they had no source cited..but I’ve seen some from them as well…Anyway, no biggie, but you should have not deleted my previous comment…criticism could be constructive.

And in their defense, I know they cover a lot of news and they don’t look at the MINI news as being a priority. I met the guys at some auto shows and believe me, they are great guys, fair and extremely helpful.

Sorry if I came across the wrong way…but remember, any source needs to be cited, including if you use a single photo from others or not, or if you read the news first on a different site. It’s just courtesy…

Oh and I believe they own BimmerToday also, including a few others….

Anyway…let’s put this behind, good luck with the blog and good job for thinking of another method to promote the dealership. I do encourage you to also work with other blogs also, it might help.

Ciao
